Dharamshala trip: Morning
I woke up in the bus staffed with the brightest sun. Exhausted faces of the mates who did not manage to have any sleep (Roel, I am sorry your shoulder was very comfortable, my head was not so much ;o().
We are approaching Dharamshala….
We make a short stop to recharge with morning chai (and mmm sweets)… Anya is strongly recommending paranthas (staffed chapatti), but the though of eating such heavy-fried stuff in the morning still appears weird… Probably, in some months from now I’ll be breakfasting with a dozen of samosas easily, but for now a dozen of bananas does the job.
It is only when.. that morning… it occurred to me what “hill station” really means…
After Norway I used to think of mountains as more or less equally high (low?) hill formations that grows nearby some settlements and make up for a very nice scenery… Well, this is not all, as appeared… Here we were just driving into the mountains by twisting road…
There was no hills in the immediate proximity, but all around I we were surrounded by the ranges of mountains…
Therefore, the settlements we were passing by were not really on the top some obvious hill… but of course they were if u think that we are already at some 1500 m above the sea level….Hills are not triangles with the summit on its top and life at its foot….
